His first top 10 hit “Your Song” was released in 1970, #3 on the Canadian single, #7 on his homeland UK single charts, and #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Now, “Candle In The Wind” is a tribute song to Marilyn Monroe, released in 1974, peaked #5 on the New Zeeland single, #8 on the Iresh single #11 on the UK single charts, but didn’t rank on the Billboard Hot 100.
