They had distinctive three-part vocal style.
Their debut album “Stay with The Hollies” was released in 1964, peaked #2 on the UK single chart, but didn’t hit other main countries such as US, Canada and more.
Their first sngle “(Ain’t That) Just Like Me” was released in 1963, reached #25 on the UK single chart, but didn’t rank other main countries, as the same as their debut-album.
The first charted single in US “Just One Look” was released in 1964, ranked on the Biilboard Hot 100, #2 on the UK single chart.
Now, “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” was released in 1969, reached #3 on the UK single chart, #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It’s one of their signature songs.
