Gordon Meredith Lightfoot was a Canadian singer – songwriter, he had started his career as a musician since 1958.
His best active years in 1970s, he released many songs during the years.
His debut single “(Remember Me) I’m the One” was released in 1962, peaked #3 on the Canadian single chart, but it didn’t hit in US and others.
Now, “Sundown” was released in 1974, topped on his home country Canadian single chart and on the Billboard Hot 100 in US.
It has become one of his signature songs.
