KC and the Sunshine Band is an American disco band, formed in 1973.
Their debut single “Blow Your Whistle” was released in 1973, ranked #27 on the Biilboard R & B chart, but didn’t enter other charts.
Their first big hit was the fourth single “Get Down Tonight”, was released in 1975, tooped on the Billboard Hot 100, the R & B single, and Canadian single charts.
The first studio album “Do It Good” was released in 1974, didn’t hit at all.
Now, “That’s the Way (I Like It)” was released in 1975, topped on the Billboard Hot 100, the R & B single, Canadian single and New Zealand single charts, moreover peaked #4 on the UK single chart.
It’s one of their signature songs, they were one of the leading band for disco boom.
