Creedence Clearwater Revival, commonly abbreviated as CCR is an American rock band, formed in 1959.
The primary member was John Fogerty, he wrote many their songs.
The first single “Porterville” was released in 1968, but it didn’t hit at all.
Their first hit single was the second one “Suzie Q”, was released in 1968, peaked #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #10 on the Canadian single chart.
Now, “Who’ll Stop the Rain” was written by John Fogerty, released in 1970, peaked #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The lyrics are included anti Vietnum War and Woodstock concert.
It has become one of their signature songs.
