Eugene Curran Kelly was an American dancer, actor, singer, director and choreographer.

He had started his career as an entertainer since 1931, had appeared many films & on Broadway productions.

His first theater appearing production “Leave It to Me!” was released the play on Broadway from 1931 to 1932.

The first musical film “For Me and My Gal ” was released in 1942.

Now, “Singin’ in the Rain” was premiered in 1952, it has become his signature film.

I’d like to share my favorite “King of Rock’n Roll” Elvis Presley song.
This is my second time.

It’s “I Need Your Love Tonight”

It was released as a B-side in 1959, peaked #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The A-side “(Now and Then There’s) A Fool Such as I” was written by Bill Trader and published in 1952, first recorded by Hank Snow who was an American country singer, peaked #4 on the Billboard country single chart in 1953.

Carole King Klein is an American singer-songwriter and musician, she has started her career as a musician since 1959.

During 1960s she didn’t have hit songs as a singer, but has had a lot hit song as a composer, such as “Loco-motion”, “Take Good Care of My Baby” and more.

Now, “Oh! Neil” was released as answer song “Oh! Carol” that previous posted.

The melody is the same of “Oh! Carol” but it didn’t hit at all. They say it’s a rare case that they have become both of well-known musician.

Neil Sedaka – Oh! Carol

Neil Sedaka is an American singer, songwriter and pianist, he has started his career as a musician since 1957.

His debut single “Laura Lee” was released in his debuted year, but it didn’t hit at all.

The second single “Ring-a-Rockin” and the third one “Oh Delilah!” didn’t likewise.

The fourth single “The Diary” peaked #14 on the Billboard Hot 100, it’s his first hit.

Now, “Oh! Carol” was released in 1959, reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 on the UK single chart, in addition to topping in New Zealand & Italy, it has become his first world-wide hit.

This song is said to be written for Carol king.
